"Praise God for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness! Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and harp! Praise Him with the stringed instruments and flutes! Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with clashing cymbals! Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord! (verses from Psalm 150)
What better way to respond to God's greatness but to praise Him with all that we have, using our gifts and abilities in music and arts! If you are able to serve in worship arts in the areas of choir, orchestra, drama, or media ... strap on your seatbelts and get ready for an exciting ministry! If you are prayerfully considering becoming a part of this ministry, we welcome you. If a friend brought you along for the ride, enjoy your experience and we hope you'll consider being a part of the Worship Ministry.
Each ministry season ushers in new opportunities to lead out in worship and to reach our community for Christ. God has great things in store for our church, especially in worship ministry. Just think about this ... every week we have the opportunity to truly experience what is written in Psalm 150 in a large group setting. What an incredible blessing it is!

Important Things to Know About Worship Ministry
Worship Ministry Childcare:
We provide childcare for families in which both parents are involved in the worship ministry. This service is also provided for single parents. Due to our tight budget, we are unable to provide childcare for families in which only one spouse is involved, unless that spouse would be willing to help in childcare. Childcare is available on Sundays from 7:30-8:15 a.m. (during warmup) and from 9:45 to 10:15 a.m. (between services). Also, we're always looking for responsible paid help if you know of someone.
We utilize this website to post new songs throughout the year that perhaps would not be on a CD that we make available. For login information please call the church office.
Ask to be our friend (Chris-Rebecca Perstrope), and you will see musical/worship portions of the worship service in video format.
Worship E-Letter:
Every week during the choir ministry season we send out the worship with updates for the week. We also send weekly prayer and praise reports within our choir, orchestra and media teams. Feel free to update us on praise and prayer requests!
Wednesday Night Electives:
If you feel God is calling you to attend an elective or serve in teaching a class on Wednesday nights, you can still be in choir. Come and talk to Chris about it, then make sure you listen to your CD during the week. It will still be mandatory to attend the Sunday moring warmup/soundcheck at 7:45 a.m.
FBC Orientation Meeting for New Worship Volunteers:
We have a very casual meeting with all new worship volunteers, usually on a Sunday afternoon before ABF's. At the meeting we give you some additional information about connecting at FBC, talk about your role on a ministry team, introduce you to our discipleship pastor, and discuss church membership. If you would like more information on being a part of FBC and our Worship Ministry, please call the church office.
